Because of this, I reduced the cuddle interval to 0.1 but when I did that, instead of getting the standard imprinting %, the baby dinos only ever get a +0% imprinting.

Imprinting raises the actual stats, first of all. Your ptera probably hatched with like 320% melee and got up to 350% with the imprinting you did. You'll get an additional invisible bonus when you're riding it, 30% damage and damage reduction if it's 100% imprinted, so 15-16% for you. This console command would set the imprint quality of the entity that your crosshair is over to 100% (1 is 100%). The above cheat command would set the imprint quality of the dino under your crosshair (target) to 40% (0.4 is 40%).
